Broccoli Pasta
Broccoli Pasta is definitely one of those quick and easy options I opt on some days when I want a bit of relaxation from the traditional Indian spread. And my boys are definitely always in with the plan. And this pasta recipe is something which I adopted when I started feeding my son in his toddler days and somehow this recipe is a family favorite and absolutely loved by all the friends and family who got a chance to eat it.

Broccoli Pasta Served
This recipe has a very minimal spread of ingredients and I cook them and serve them hot. Sometimes I feel the freshness is the real secret of this pasta recipe.
Here goes the quick and easy recipe:
Ingredients for Broccoli Pasta:
- Broccoli - 1 head
- Fusili or any choice of Pasta - 8 ounce
- Garlic - 4 large cloves, finely chopped
- Salt - according to taste
- Black Pepper - 1 tsp
- Olive Oil - 2 tbsp
- Italian Herb mix - 1 tsp (dried)
- Parmesan Cheese - 2 tbsp
Steps of Preparation:
- Chop the broccoli head into large chunks.
- Cook the pasta according to the instructions in the box.
- Blanche the broccoli for the around 3-4 mins. You can use the same pot while cooking the pasta.

Blanched Broccoli and cooked Pasta
- Strain the pasta and the broccoli in the colander and let in go through the cold running water.
- Grate the broccoli finely in a chopper or do it manually.
- Take a large frying pan and heat it.
- Add the olive oil and garlic to it.

- Once the garlic releases the flavor add broccoli, salt, and pepper.

Grated Broccoli with salt and pepper
- Once the broccoli is cooked for 2 mins, add the cooked pasta and saute.

Adding the Pasta to the veggies
- To the cooked pasta add the herbs for flavor and top with parmesan cheese.

Serve hot for this delicious meal.
